about

"Giants oozes a humble confidence, like the kind earned after a long solo journey. The intimate relationship he has with his music is audible, though it's hard to escape the thought that he's holding back on most of Giants' tracks. Tracks like "The Light" and "Giants" are dying to be played around a raucous campfire or to be yelled while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway."

-Jake Blair, Earmilk

"We climbed in through the back porch. We taped up the windows. We set up mics in worn in living rooms and unoccupied studio spaces. We asked our friends to sing loud on gang vocals. We had our gear confiscated by public safety. Musicians drove in from LA and sent takes from Colorado. We skipped work. A lot. We worked hard on Giants and are very proud of it. Trevor J. Welch is an incredible producer and friend. I loved working with him."

about

Trevor Borden Texas

Born and raised in rural East Africa, Trevor Borden developed a pioneer's heart. His booming voice and gravelly songwriting are the core of his riveting performance. His dedication to the road and the continual refining of his craft is not fueled by the illusive promise of grandeur but by the idea that music has the power to connect us and make us feel less alone. ... more

Track Name: Manzanitas
Love that's growing
Rise with the morning
You crack with noon
You'll be forgotten soon
So I'll send Orion to climb the horizon
There's not a beast he cannot defeat
And If he comes back to me empty handed
Saying, "This one, only you can beat."
I'll ask the
Manzanitas in the far off valley
The wooden porch
The steeping tea

Where are we going? When will we get there? Is there an age we'll call complete?

I remember when the ghost who's holy
Came and took your only brother
He was the first born
Your father's favorite
He always took after your mother
He was put to death, dear
To free the strangers
I hear their looking for milk and honey

Your father's furry, it gathered the young
And they rode hard until they reached the water
They were met there with the sound of dancing
The Favored people crossed on dry land singing,

"Where are we going? When will we get there? Is there an age we'll call complete?"

So love that's growing, don't you fear the morning
The bark burnt brighter
And the porch stood silent, the steaming leafs stared right back at me
And they asked me,

"Where are we going? When will we get there? Is there an age we'll call complete?"
